We were contacted to diagnose a fault with a Vokera Mynute system boiler which was over 14 years old. Unfortunately for our customer, there was a number of issues which meant the repair bill was going to be in excess of £500. This would have been an uneconomical repair so the decision was made to install a new A-Rated boiler.
An Atag i18s was installed which would work inline with their existing unvented hot water cylinder. This boiler comes with 10 years parts & labour warranty and lifetime replacement guarantee on the main heat exchanger. We also installed a Nest Learning thermostat for mobile operation of there heating & hot water.
Finally, as with all our boiler installations a full magnacleanse heating flush was carried out removing excess debris and sludge from within the old system to give the new boiler a clean system to work alongside. Ideals brass magnetic filter was also installed to protect the boiler over the future years, this will be cleaned out as part of there annual service.
